ITTIP is hosting their 9th Annual STEM Learning Summit at Longwood University on Tuesday, September 20, 2016. This year’s theme, Creating Global Learning Environments, will inspire K-12 administrators and educators in making small changes that help students make connections beyond the classroom walls – whether it is with another school in your division, across Virginia, or across the world. This year’s STEM Learning Summit will help educators learn how to enable students to become more connected – in any classroom.
The keynote speaker this year will be Pernille Ripp, a teacher, speaker, and author, whose work has influenced thousands of teachers globally, as well as the work of school districts across the United States as they try to empower their students and teachers and change the way we educate. Additional speakers will include, Dr. Linda Cook, Director of Science, Coppell Independent School District, Coppell, Texas, and Mr. Mark Saunders, Director of Technology & Virtual Learning, Virginia Department of Education.
