Wells Fargo Grant Supports Hummingbird Robotic STEM Program

In the Fall of 2015, ITTIP communicated implementations of Hummingbird Robotics being integrated through a STEM program in Powhatan County through our digital newsletters, Twitter (@STEMGal), and even Longwood University’s Insider Blog. The opportunity was funded through a Wells Fargo grant, and enabled ITTIP to work with 18 middle school students to integrate robotics, programming, multiple subjects areas (Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Engineering, Technology), problem-based learning, and positive STEM learning experiences!  The video below summarizes the engineering design process as the students solve the problem of building and presenting a playground model with certain constraints:
