ITTIP Receives Verizon Grant

Tuesday, November 25th, Verizon representative Steven Cronemeyer, presented ITTIP staff with a grant to support professional development on instructional practices using the  Finch Robot. The Institute will offer this opportunity to 18 teacher in Southside Virginia during the Summer 2015. After the training, teachers will be provided check out kits to implement in their classrooms during the 2015-2016 school year.

In addition to the teacher workshop, ITTIP will also be offering a Saturday workshop on Finch Robot for middle school students at Longwood University. Announcements regarding this opportunity will be shared through upcoming newsletters, website, and Southside Virginia Regional Technology Consortium.
